Nybo Workwear’s Sustainability Goals
At Nybo, we have an ambition to be a frontrunner and to set higher standards than merely complying with upcoming legal requirements – we want to set the benchmark.
That is why we have defined 10 ambitious goals to ensure that our products and processes support a healthier planet and better working conditions for people throughout our value chain. With these goals, we commit to reducing environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, and developing products that make a difference – both today and for future generations.
Reduction of Environmental Impact in the Value Chain
Goal 1: CO₂ Neutral by 2050
Nybo Workwear aims to achieve CO₂-neutral status by or during 2050. This will primarily be achieved through collaboration with suppliers and changes to the business model. In addition, CO₂-reducing investments and compensation initiatives will be implemented.
Goal 2: Science-Based Target Certification by 2027
Nybo Workwear aims to obtain Science-Based Targets certification by 2027 to ensure a focused, methodical, and responsible reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Social Welfare and Fair Working Conditions in the Value Chain
Goal: All suppliers pay a living wage to all employees by 2040
The textile industry has a responsibility to ensure that all employees in the value chain receive a wage that allows them to support themselves and their families without the need for overtime or multiple jobs. In 2025, Nybo developed a strategy to implement a living wage. This strategy includes engaging with suppliers and stakeholders in the regions where Nybo operates.
Sustainable Production Development and Circularity
Goal: 10% of products to contain recycled fibers by 2030
A large part of the textile industry’s environmental impact comes from the extraction of new materials, particularly polyester fibers. Therefore, it is important for the industry to transition to using recycled materials. In 2025, Nybo took concrete steps to replace polyester with recycled polyester in some of its best-selling collections.
